Data Collection
Joy for Gmail does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data.
The extension does not access, record, or transmit the contents of emails, attachments, contacts, or any Gmail account information.
Local Settings
The extension stores user preferences locally in the browser using Chrome’s extension storage. These preferences may include settings such as:
- Feature toggles (e.g. enabling or disabling features)
- Display preferences (such as subject weight or colour settings)
- Compose window preferences

This access is used solely to apply visual and usability enhancements such as:
- improving inbox readability
- grouping inbox rows by date
- centering the compose window
- improving Gmail search behaviour
The extension does not read, store, or transmit email content.
Remote Code
Joy for Gmail does not execute remote code. All functionality is contained within the extension package installed from the Chrome Web Store.
Third-Party Services
